The Journey that Shaped Me as a Content Creator and Community Leader
As a content creator and community leader, I’ve had the privilege of walking a path that’s been anything but ordinary. My journey has been shaped by decades of diverse experiences, from the worlds of entrepreneurship and media to community building and education. Each step has taught me invaluable lessons and given me a unique perspective that I now bring to every project, podcast, and program I create.Here’s a glimpse into the experiences that have shaped who I am today—and the impact they’ve allowed me to make.
An Entrepreneurial Spirit Since 2000
My entrepreneurial journey began over two decades ago in 2000. Back then, I was driven by a desire to create something meaningful—not just for myself but for the people and communities I worked alongside. Over the years, I’ve built businesses, helped others bring their visions to life, and navigated the challenges and triumphs that come with entrepreneurship.
This foundation has given me a deep understanding of what it takes to turn an idea into reality. I know the mindset, the strategies, and the perseverance required to build something from the ground up. Today, I channel this entrepreneurial spirit into helping others grow their personal brands, businesses, and communities while staying true to their authentic selves.
A Storyteller at Heart: From Film to Podcasts
Before I was a producer of media channels and podcasts, I was an actress in the film and television industry. Starting in 1999, I immersed myself in storytelling, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. My time as a production assistant with Liz Marks Casting, working alongside my mentor Liz Marks, taught me the importance of recognizing potential and bringing people together to create something bigger than ourselves.
Though Liz passed away in 2008, her lessons continue to guide me to this day. She taught me the power of collaboration, the importance of authenticity, and the magic of bringing the right voices to the table. Those lessons have translated seamlessly into my work producing podcasts and media channels for brands. I see every piece of content I create as an opportunity to tell a story that resonates, connects, and inspires.
A Decade of Leading Communities
Since 2010, I’ve been leading communities—both online and in person. There’s something incredibly special about bringing people together, especially when they share a common purpose or goal. Whether it’s through retreats, mastermind groups, or online platforms, I’ve learned how to create spaces where people feel supported and inspired.
Building a community isn’t just about gathering people; it’s about cultivating a sense of belonging, trust, and mutual growth. This is a principle I carry into every project I undertake, ensuring that the people I work with feel empowered to share their voices and collaborate in meaningful ways.
Creating Programs That Transform
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of designing and running programs that have made a lasting impact. From online courses to in-person workshops, I’ve always focused on addressing the specific needs of the people I serve. One of the most fulfilling projects I’m currently involved in is the business incubator through the York County Chamber of Commerce.
This initiative allows me to work closely with entrepreneurs and business leaders in Hampton Roads, helping them refine their ideas, develop strategies, and bring their visions to life. Seeing their growth firsthand reinforced my belief in the power of mentorship, collaboration, and community.
The Perspective I Bring Today
All of these experiences—acting, casting, entrepreneurship, community leadership, and program creation—have given me a unique perspective. I see the world as a network of stories waiting to be told and connections waiting to be made.
As a content creator, I understand how to craft narratives that inspire and engage. As a community leader, I know how to build spaces where people can thrive. And as an entrepreneur, I bring a results-driven, strategic mindset to everything I do.
Today, my mission is to help others discover their potential, expand their brands, and create communities that leave a lasting impact. Whether it’s through a podcast episode, a retreat, or a strategic planning session, I’m here to guide others toward their goals while staying true to their values.

The journey that brought me here has been rich with lessons, challenges, and growth. While the path hasn’t always been easy, it’s given me the tools to create something meaningful—not just for myself, but for the people I work with and the communities I serve.
